Sweet Angel

So I just finished making a gift for my niece who was recently baptized. I was sad I couldn't be there but getting pictures of it was nice to see. Kaylee and her proud parents are so wonderful. I made the doll and patterned the dress after a heirloom dress she wore to her baptism. I hope she'll appreciate her gift from her Aunt Rebecca and know that I am proud of her and that I love and miss her.

You might have to click on the pictures for a close up to see the details.

This little piggy went to the....Doctors!

So this is the culprit. This is what has given my little guy a temp. of 101.5. This is what has made him want to be held for two days straight. This is what landed him at the doctors office in the surgical room to have it cut and drained. Poor little guy! He's been healing nicely and it's great to have our Talmage back again. It's no fun to see your baby so sick!

What's in a name?

So I was just thinking today (thanks to a recent conversation with my sister) of all the changes we go through as we grow up. From different hair styles, different taste in music, wardrobe changes, etc. But how many of us have changed names. Or at least varied a little from our original name. There are names people use that I haven't heard in years. Names that only my family (or just my mom) still uses. Names relatives still use. Names old close friends have come up with. Lastly names I have decided to go with just to be a little different. Here is a list of what I've had through my life and the evolution of it:

Rebecca (born given name)
Beck
Becky
Beck-a-boo
B
Becie (thought I'd change the spelling in HS. Can you tell English wasn't my best supject)
Bec7ie (the 7 is silent)
Becca
Reba
and back to good old Rebecca

So if someone calls, a letter is addressed to me, leaves a comment on the world wide web about me I will know exactly what era this person is from.

Now it's your turn to share. If not, I'll have to be forced to make up some on my own for you. My family has a real talent for coming up with names for people. Having said that, here's a shout out to Kevin the 7-11 slurpee lip Baulm and Shane the shoe shining Sherman.

I didn't know it was this bad

I haven't given up completely!

So I'm sitting here at home spending the last hour checking out all my friends blogs and realize that I need to stop with the excuses and get on here to blog once and for all. I am going to dedicate myself to blogging more, at least once a week to keep up on our lives. Life moves so fast that if I don't take a moment to capture what has happened, it will all pass and we'll wonder where time has gone.

Another reason why I need to post is that I just downloaded all my pictures that have been on our camera only to see pictures on there from before Halloween. It's been that long? I know I took some of those pictures for a reason and am trying to remember why and what the story is behind it. Hence, the need to post more. Mostly just for our family to have record of the craziness that occurs around here. Otherwise nobody will believe the stories I tell and I won't have evidence to hang over the kids heads when they get older and are more embarrassed with me as their mom.

Having said that, here are just a few pictures of what we've been up to lately. I'll also post fun things I find along the way like the recent blog my sister did. I can't do it justice by trying to repeat it so you'll just have to check it out. It's a family classic and by viewing it yourself you are now sucked into the world I grew up in. It all makes sense now!

Day at Disneyland to see the Christmas Decorations

Checking out the Reindeer at Santa's Reindeer Roundup at Disneyland. Pretty cool!

Christmas Eve with their new pj's.

The only thing Walker asked Santa for this year....an eye patch!

Talmage enjoying his orange out of his stocking.

Neil Diamond concert Cordell and I went to! Happy day!

Talk to you all again soon!

OH BROTHER!

The Watson home would like to start up a three on three basketball league. Abby will be the cheerleader, dad will be the coach and the THREE little boys will take anyone on. Granted we need to teach Walker what a ball is, Talmage how to share a ball and the new little guy to get here in April.

We took all the kids to the ultrasound today to see the new baby. Abby was intrigued, Walker was scared of what it looked like and Talmage was nervouse that mom was laying on a bed in the dark. We got in the car and showed the kids the pictures to see if they could figure it out on their own. I showed them the two leggs, the bum and then asked if they knew what babies have in between their legs. Abby didn't know but Walker blurted out "a peanut". So he got it that it was a boy. We told Abby and she just slowly moved to the back of the car in tears. She is not happy at all. So now I'm a mother of three boys! Who would have ever thought. Growing up one of four girls and only one boy in the family I thought I could handle a house full of girls. Boys, I have no clue what to do with them. Other than trying my best to teach them to aim correctly into the toilet bowl I can only imagine the challenges or joys that boys will bring. My two boys are pretty entertaining as it is so we'll see what a third does to us.

Now what to name this one? We have no clue. Any suggestions?
