Or as Talmage would say it “Merry Fisfass”! What a great Christmas we had. Dad was able to be home all week with us and that was a holiday miracle in of itself. Did some last minute Christmas shopping, walked the mall, ate out, went to the movies, had a family party, 9 holes of golf (just dad of course), night out with the ladies (just mom of course), watched about every Christmas move/cartoon the kids could find, ate sweets until my eyes popped out, wrapped presents until wee hours of the night only to run out of tape and enthusiasm to not even caring what the wrap job looked like. Managed to check out the Santa tracker, leave cookies and egg nog (or Christmas Milk as Walker calls it) for Santa, carrot for Rudolf, and candy for the elves.
The kids could all agree that they had a pretty good Christmas. The boys played with their new toys all day for about 4 days straight. It got so bad that Talmage could not fall asleep. Talk about mind overload. From Spike the Dinosaur, the jungle set and train tracks, they never stopped.
Abby enjoyed her new fur real kitten which she named Mrs. Fluffy, Whiskers for short. Clothes she got (she’s a girl, what do you expect). Barbie, Barbie make up, Barbie house furniture, Barbie movies and Barbie camera.
I still can’t believe it has come and gone. It feels like Christmas should be two weeks away. I’m learning the more kids I have the faster life gets. I better slow down or just stop having kids.
Here’s to getting more organized for next year. Creating and doing things on the to do list. To enjoying the little details of Christmas and the season. I say this now, let’s see what happens in a year! Until then….
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care……
